[XN Motors News] On April 3rd 2024 there was a significant  scene at Xiaomi Automobile Factory in Beijing as the first batch of Xiaomi cars were delivered to their owners.

Lei Jun, the founder, chairman, and CEO of Xiaomi Group, took great pride in personally handing over the Xiaomi SU7 vehicles to the new owners and opening the car doors for them.

During this inaugural delivery ceremony, Lei Jun shared that the Xiaomi SU7 had already achieved a milestone of over 100,000 vehicles, with locked orders surpassing 40,000. He also extended his gratitude to the initial group of Xiaomi SU7 buyers, promising committing to excellence in product, quality, and service, to honor their trust.

The Xiaomi SU7, the first car model from Xiaomi, was officially launched on March 28th, made available in a price range of 215,900 to 299,000 yuan.

According to official statements, the original version began delivery on April 3rd, with a limited release of 5,000 units. The standard and Max versions were slated for delivery by the end of April, with the Pro version expected by the end of May. Additionally, Xiaomi is set to release the SU7 high-speed NOA to the market, with NOA undergoing user testing in April. The rollout will commence in 10 cities in May and expand nationwide by August.

For Xiaomi car owners and prospective buyers, charging options are of paramount interest. Xiaomi’s SU7 can be charged using the following methods:

1. Xiaomi Charging Pile: Launched alongside Xiaomi Automobile, these charging piles are easily recognizable and align with Xiaomi’s ecosystem aesthetic. They feature a sleek, streamlined design with a simple, flat shape. The piles and cables are white, making the cable light and easy to handle, while the charging gun’s head is black and neatly stored on the side. Xiaomi offers 7kW and 11kW charging piles, along with a portable Mi Jia charging and discharging gun that supports 220V household charging. This all-in-one solution is convenient for home use, ensuring a full charge overnight.

2. Pine Fruit Charging Pile: Another option is the pine fruit charging pile, notable for its fingerprint unlocking feature that ensures security and ease of use. It also boasts a temperature control protection function, automatically stopping the charge if temperatures exceed 85 degrees Celsius to guarantee safety, an essential feature for outdoor installation. Available in 7kW and 11kW models, users can select based on their needs.

3. On-Car Charging with a 16A3.5KW Plug: A common market solution, this charging method involves plugging directly into a household 16A air conditioning socket, charging at 3.5 degrees per hour. Although slower compared to charging piles, its convenience for remote areas or long-distance travel makes it a viable backup option, allowing users to recharge their vehicles wherever a socket is available.
