AION LAUNCHES NEW SECOND GENERATION AION V Here’s All You Need To know!

On July 23rd, Aion officially launched its second generation AION V. Priced between 129,800 – 189,800 yuan (17,800 – 26,000 USD), which is 20,000 – 50,000 yuan (2,750 – 6,900 USD) less than It’s previous generation.

The new generation comes with seven different versions: three with a 520km range, three with 650km range and one with 750km range. (Configurations vary with the version and edition.)

In terms of dimensions, the car measures:

Length: 4605

Width: 1854

Height: 1686 mm

Wheelbase: 2775 mm

In comparison, the first-generation Aion V Plus has a size of 4650/1920/1720 mm with a wheelbase of 2830 mm. The second-gen Aion V seems to be smaller than the other AION model.

Aion claims that the exterior of this SUV is inspired by the species of dinosaur Tyrannosaurus Rex. The rectangular front headlights represent an “H” shaped exterior front In attempt to portray a dragon’s or dinosaur’s claws. The narrow rectangular air inlets put further emphasize on this concept.

On the sides the vehicle features slightly raised fender lines at both the front and rear, paired with dark-colored protective panels, hidden door handles, a two-toned roof and newly designed 225/45 R19 rims with matching tires from the Maxxis Victra Sport 5 series. The model also offers three optional tire specifications: 215/55 R18, 225/45 R19, and 225/45 ZR19.

At the rear, the second-generation AION V sports vertically arranged taillights, a large spoiler, and a central AION logo.

In terms of interior, the second-generation AION V is unique in ways that the car offers almost no physical buttons!

Most functions are integrated into its central control screen which is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, providing faster processing and supporting multiple functions like mobile phone interconnection, OTA upgrade, voice interaction, etc.

The vehicles most unique feature is its ‘hot & cold’ box in the central console.

The compartment box can raise its temperature as high as 50 degree Celsius while similarly lower it to -15 degrees!
